AndroidIf you're on the look out for a stellar deal on a decent size Android tablet, look no further than the offer running right now for Amazon's Fire HD 10. The firm is selling the newest version of its 10.1-inch screen for just £80.99, a huge 40 percent discount on its £134.99 RRP.

As the name suggests, the Fire HD 10 has an HD display so you can stream all your favourite shows and movies in pin-sharp resolution.

It has 32GB storage so you can download your most used apps and a few games, with a little room for offline Netflix or Prime Video downloads when you're on a train, plane or car ride without Wi-Fi and want to keep yourself or the kids entertained.

As this is an Amazon tablet, you can also get the official Kindle app and read all your Kindle books on the large colour screen, which makes it a great Kindle choice if you want to buy electronic comic books or graphic novels.

The reason this particular Fire HD 10 is so cheap is partly because this is a certified refurbished device. That means you'll get a unit that has been bought and returned by another customer, but Amazon ensures these tablets ship to buyers in pristine condition. It might not come in the standard retail box, but you should expect there to be no damage to the device, which will be virtually brand new.

It's a great way to save given its on sale for £80.99. The full price model is £149.99.

One thing to bear in mind is that this tablet has ads on the lock screen, a pesky detail Amazon simply won't give up. Retail giant gonna retail giant. But look past that, and there are very few other options to get a 10-inch HD Android tablet this cheap.

The final catch is Amazon Fire tablets can't download or run Google apps and services. This means this tablet can't get Gmail or YouTube, or any other Google app. If this isn't a big deal for your use then you'll be fine, but it's something to bear in mind.

Amazon says this is a "limited time deal" but with no indication of when the special price will end. Given stock of the Fire HD 10 is sold out for the full price new version, the retailer may be shifting stock before a new version, or is simply winding down offering the Fire HD 10 at all.

Either way, £80.99 for this tablet is a bit of a steal.
