The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG 2026) is scheduled to be held on May 3 in various cities across the country. Earlier, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for students on Wednesday. It is clarified that all the candidates will have to undergo biometric process before entering the examination hall on the day of examination. But relaxation will also be given in some circumstances. Whose information has been given by the agency in the notice.
NTA has clarified that even if biometric verification is not completed at the examination center due to technical issues, poor quality of fingerprints, connectivity issues or any medical condition, candidates will still be allowed to enter the examination premises. Provisions have also been made for such situations. Special care of which will be taken on the day of examination.
NTA gave this advice to the candidates
In case biometric verification is not completed, manual identity verification will be done using original documents. An undertaking will be available with the Center Superintendent of Examinations. Candidates will be guided in the process and after proper verification they will be allowed to appear for the examination. Therefore, NTA has advised the candidates to remain calm and cooperate with the officials present at the examination centre. It has also been clarified that students will not be bothered at all for biometrics during the examination.

Admit card released
National Testing Agency has released the admit cards on 26th April itself. The examination will be conducted on May 3 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The name of the examination centre, address, necessary guidelines and other information are given in the admit card. Which will be mandatory to follow. No candidate will be given entry without admit card. Apart from this, all candidates are advised to carry original photo identity card.
Alert issued regarding rumors
NTA has also alerted students regarding rumors to question paper leak. It is advised not to trust false and misleading claims. It is clarified that all the question papers and confidential material has safely reached its final destination with complete security. There is no possibility of paper leak or getting the paper before time.
