A tragic incident occurred on the Tira Bypass in Dhar, where an overloaded pickup truck overturned, resulting in the deaths of ten individuals, including children. Approximately 40 to 45 people were on board the vehicle at the time of the accident. Many others sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to the hospital, with rescue operations currently underway.
The heartbreaking accident took place near the Reliance petrol pump in Chikaliya on Wednesday night. Eyewitnesses reported that the pickup truck, which was carrying a large number of laborers, suddenly lost control and flipped over.
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle was significantly overloaded, leading to chaos as screams filled the air when it overturned. Local residents quickly initiated rescue efforts and alerted the authorities.
The inclusion of children among the deceased has made this incident even more tragic. The injured were promptly transported to the district hospital with the assistance of locals and police, where several remain in critical condition. The administration continues to carry out relief and rescue operations.
