CM Mohan Yadav Wheat Procurement Inspection: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will conduct a surprise inspection of wheat procurement centres. By communicating directly with the farmers, they will know the ground reality of support price, bonus, weighing system and facilities.
MP Wheat Procurement Center Inspection: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has taken a big step to make the wheat procurement process in Madhya Pradesh more transparent, easier and farmer friendly. Now the Chief Minister himself will conduct a surprise inspection of various procurement centers in the state. The stir regarding this has intensified at the administrative level, because the Chief Minister's helicopter can land in any district at any time.
The aim of the Chief Minister is not only to conduct formal inspection but also to directly communicate with the farmers to know whether the facilities announced by the government are actually reaching the ground or not. The Chief Minister himself will investigate whether the farmers are getting support price, weighing system, drinking water, shady places and other necessary facilities properly at the wheat procurement centres.
Chief Minister will communicate directly with farmers
In the coming days, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will suddenly visit various wheat procurement centers of the state and take stock of the arrangements. By talking directly to the farmers, they will understand whether they are facing any problem in selling their produce. The priority of the government is that farmers should be able to sell their crops at support price without any hassle and they should not have to face unnecessary waiting or chaos. This is why this time the inspection is being taken especially seriously.
Enhanced facilities at procurement centers
Keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers, the state government has ensured many important arrangements at the procurement centres. Arrangements for drinking water, shady places to sit and other public facilities have been made for the farmers so that they do not face any inconvenience during the summer season. Apart from this, farmers have also been given the facility that they can sell wheat at any procurement center in their district. This will make it easier for farmers to choose the nearest and convenient center and will also reduce the pressure of crowd.
The weighing system was made and strengthened
Often the biggest complaint of farmers is regarding delay in weighing. Keeping this in mind, the government has increased the number of weighbridges at procurement centers to 6. If needed, the districts have also been given permission to increase the weighing scale more than this. Along with this, necessary arrangements like Hammaal, weighbridge, sewing machine, computer, net connection, coupons, quality testing equipment, fan and filter for cleaning are also being provided. Its objective is that the farmer's produce is weighed on time and there is no delay in the payment process.
Relief given in quality standards of wheat
This time the government has also relaxed the FAQ parameters of wheat, so that more farmers can benefit. The limit for lusterless wheat has been increased to 50 percent. The limit for dried grains has been increased from 6 percent to 10 percent, while the limit for damaged grains has also been increased to 6 percent. This decision will provide relief to farmers affected by weather or other reasons and there will be less chances of their produce being rejected.
Bonus along with support price
The state government is purchasing wheat from farmers at a support price of Rs 2585 per quintal. Along with this, a bonus of Rs 40 per quintal is also being given. Thus, farmers are being paid a total rate of Rs 2625 per quintal, which will be transferred directly to their accounts. This is being considered an important step towards increasing the income of farmers.
Slot booking capacity also increased
To ensure procurement from more farmers as per the capacity of the procurement centres, the limit of slot booking per center per day has been increased from 1000 quintals to 2250 quintals. If the districts wish, they can increase it to 3000 quintals per centre. Not only this, for the convenience of the farmers, the work of slot booking and purchase will continue on every Saturday also.
Government's message is clear, no compromise in the interest of farmers
The Public Relations Department is also giving information about government facilities and schemes to the farmers by putting up posters and banners at the procurement centres. This sudden inspection by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is a clear indication that the government is not only announcing schemes but is also monitoring their implementation itself. Now the biggest challenge before the administration is that the arrangements recorded on paper should actually be felt by the farmers from farm to market. Because farmer's trust is not built just by announcements but by visible changes on the ground.
