According to the results, this time too DMK seems to be forming the government in Tamil Nadu. Let us tell you that voting took place in one phase in Tamil Nadu on 23 April.
DMK government is forming in 4 out of 5 exit polls in Tamil Nadu
- The matrix has predicted DMK+ to get 122-132 seats, while AIADMK+ will get 87-110 seats.
- P Mark has given 125-145 seats to DMK+, while 65-85 seats to AIADMK+.
- People's Insight has given 120-140 seats to DMK+, while 60-70 seats to AIADMK+.
- People's Pulse has predicted DMK+ to get 125-145 seats, while AIADMK+ will get 65-80 seats.
- JVC- Times Now has given 75-95 seats to DMK+ while 128-147 seats to AIADMK+.
- According to Axis My India survey, DMK+ may get 92-110 seats, AIADMK+ may get 22-32 seats and TVK may get 98-120 seats.
Tamil Nadu: What were the exit poll results in the last assembly elections?
The exit poll results of Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2021 unanimously declare MK. The Stalin-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) was projected to win. Apart from DMK and Congress, many regional parties of Tamil Nadu were included in this alliance. On the other hand, the ruling NDA, which included AIADMK and BJP along with some other regional parties including PMK, was expected to depart from power. 118 seats were required for majority in the 234-seat Tamil Nadu Assembly. The exit poll survey showed a clear lead for the DMK alliance.
What was the result after the exit poll?
In Tamil Nadu too, the exit polls' prediction of change of power proved to be correct to a large extent. MK. Stalin-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) registered a landslide victory by winning 159 seats. In this, DMK alone won 133 seats. The ruling NDA was reduced to 75 seats, with the AIADMK winning 66 seats.
What is exit poll?
Exit poll is a sample survey conducted before voting, in which a survey is conducted by preparing a questionnaire according to the voter, candidate, constituency and his position, in which an attempt is made to probe the mind of the voter. Estimates from exit polls are released after voting is over, giving a rough idea of how different parties are likely to perform in the elections. It is not necessary that exit polls prove to be accurate or wrong every time.
