Rishabh Pant is back in the headlines again and this time for reasons that have nothing to do with his performances on the field after his alleged ex-girlfriend Isha Negi set the internet ablaze with a social media post made during IPL 2026.
Negi was seen at the Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals clash which was held in Mullanpur, Chandigarh. In an Instagram reel she was seen cheering for Punjab Kings and also mentioning Shreyas Iyer as her "favorite captain." This post went viral in no time and also invited a lot of criticism from the fans.

Many users slammed her for supporting another team and questioned her allegiance to Punjab Kings even as Rishabh Pant currently leads the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2026. Few also suggested that this news may have come out at this point as Pant has been struggling on the field of late however there has been no confirmed reports of that yet.
It was understood that the two were dating for quite a few years. They even confirmed their relationship to the world on social media in 2019 however in the recent weeks it has been rumored that the two might have broken up. However there has been no official statement from both Pant and Isha Negi on the same.

Pant faces pressure on and off the field
Even as all the buzz is created off the field Pant is having a very tough time with his team as well as in his career at IPL 2026. Lucknow Super Giants are at the bottom of the table with merely 2 wins in 8 games. LSG have been inconsistent in terms of performance and in most of the games have found themselves on the wrong side of the result.
Pant's own performance have been quite underwhelming his body language on the field have shown the kind of pressure he is in. All this worsened when LSG lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in a Super Over. Post the match Pant also mentioned in the post-match presentation ceremony about the issues within the team "Too many minds do not make it easy on the ground."
This comment indicated that there might have been too much advice from the dressing room which was possibly not leading to clarity of thought when needed on the field. Former bowler Shaun Pollock reacted to the comments by stating "It felt like Pant was implying some sort of team management issues."
Despite all these Lucknow still have a mathematical chance of qualifying for the playoffs and would next be playing Mumbai Indians on 4th of May at Wankhede stadium and it could be a game that would be crucial in determining LSG's IPL campaign.
For now all the eyes are on Pant on and off the field and how he deals with all the pressure that he is facing may just be a huge role in shaping the LSG's season.
