Delhi Capitals (DC) star batsman KL Rahul has played a record-breaking innings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Rahul faced 67 balls against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Saturday (April 25) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and scored unbeaten 152 runs hitting 16 fours and 9 sixes.
Rahul has become the first Indian batsman to touch the 150-run mark in IPL. Also, he has made the Indian record for playing the biggest innings in Men’s T20. Earlier this record was in the name of Tilak Verma, who had scored 151 runs against Meghalaya in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Rahul broke this record by taking a single on the last ball of DC’s innings.

Rahul became the first batsman to do so
Rahul has scored his second century for Delhi Capitals. He has also scored 2 IPL centuries each for PBKS and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). In this way, Rahul has now become the first player to score more than one IPL century for three different teams.
He thrashed the PBKS bowlers and completed his century in just 47 balls, which is his fastest century in IPL. Also, this was a new record for the fastest century for Delhi Capitals. He also equaled Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner in terms of scoring most centuries for DC. Dhawan-Warner had scored 2-2 centuries for this franchise.
Dhoni-Raina also left behind
During his stormy innings, Rahul has left behind Mahendra Singh Dhoni (5439) and Suresh Raina (5528) in terms of scoring the most runs in IPL. Rahul now has 5579 IPL runs in his name. He has reached fifth position in the list of batsmen who have scored the most runs in IPL.
