Question Time host Fiona Bruce dramatically halted tonight's instalment of the political programme to share a major update with BBC viewers. During tonight's instalment of the show, Fiona was accompanied on the panel by Emma Reynolds, Victoria Atkins, Daisy Cooper, Rachel Millward and Zia Yusuf for an England Election Special filmed in Maidenhead, Kent. However, at one point, Bruce told the live audience and viewers at home that there would be a major scheduling shake-up for the programme next week. The broadcaster stated: "Let me just say that we are in London next week for our programme and we are not going to be on air on Thursday. That's the results night for the elections.
"We are going to be on air on Friday when most of the results will have come in. So we shall see where we are.
"So if you want to be part of that programme in London next Friday, go to the Question Time website and follow the instructions there."
The show will resume as usual on Thursday, May 14 when it is filmed in Brecon.
Elsewhere in the episode this evening (Thursday, April 30), Reform's Yusuf said the threat to Jewish people in the UK "is in fact real" following the stabbings in north London this week.
When asked what can be done to protect the Jewish community, he told the panel: "I think the levels of antisemitism in this country now, the levels of extremism, are intolerable."
Meanwhile, Green Party MP Rachel Milward branded the Golders Green attacks as "horrifying" and said her party wants everyone to "stand together against any form of racial hatred".
She also said: "The reality is it would be utterly ridiculous for any political party to suggest there is no antisemitism within their party and no racism within their party.
"We have 230,000 members, and of course, a handful of those people will not share our values. We are doing everything we can to address that."
Question Time episodes can be watched on BBC iPlayer.
