Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd reported a mixed performance in its Q4 FY26 results, with strong revenue growth but muted profit expansion and noticeable margin compression.
The company posted a 1.4% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profitreaching ₹167 crorecompared to ₹165 crore in the same quarter last year. Despite the modest profit growth, the topline showed robust momentum.
Revenue for the quarter surged 32.9% YoY to ₹3,334.6 croreup from ₹2,509.5 crore, driven by healthy demand in the automotive segment and improved order execution.
However, profitability remained under pressure. EBITDA grew just 1% YoY to ₹274 crorecompared to ₹271 crore in Q4 FY25. The EBITDA margin declined sharply to 8.2%down from 10.8% a year ago, indicating rising cost pressures and possible input cost challenges.
Motherson Sumi Wiring delivered strong revenue growth, reflecting continued traction in the automotive wiring harness business. However, the limited growth in EBITDA and net profit suggests that higher expenses weighed on overall profitability.
The sharp drop in margins will be a key concern for investors, as it signals pressure on operational efficiency despite higher sales volumes.
