Delhi Capitals, led by captain Akshar Patel, were bundled out for only 75 runs when invited to bat first. Abhishek Porel scored the maximum 30 runs for Delhi. In response, Royal Challengers Bangalore achieved the target by losing 1 wicket in just 6.3 overs. From his side, Virat Kohli scored 23 not out and Devdutt Padikkal scored 34 not out.
Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match with 81 balls remaining. Thus, RCB has the second biggest win in terms of balls remaining in IPL history. In this case, the record is in the name of five-time winner Mumbai Indians. In 2008, Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede with 87 balls to spare.
