Tanker seizure or legal action? what is the truth
The controversy started as soon as the news of the US Army seizing two tankers named 'Majestic X' and 'Tiffany' came out. The US claims that these ships were illegally carrying Iranian oil and this action was taken under a court-approved warrant. Each tanker is said to contain about 19 lakh barrels of oil. At the same time, Iran is calling it plain “looting”. Tehran says that America is trying to legalize piracy by resorting to the legal process.
