The 39th match of IPL 2026 is being played today between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). This match is being held on 27th April at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Bengaluru won the toss and decided to bowl first. In this match, Sahil Parakh is making his IPL debut for Delhi, who will be seen opening with KL Rahul. At the same time, Bengaluru team has not made any changes in its playing-11.

At present, Bengaluru team is far ahead of Delhi in the points table of IPL 2026. RCB has played 7 matches so far, out of which they have won 5 and lost 2. For this reason, the team remains at second position with 10 points and a net run rate of +1.101. Whereas the performance of Delhi Capitals has been a bit weak. The team has won only 3 and lost 4 in 7 matches. Due to this, Delhi has 6 points and with a net run rate of -0.184 the team is at 7th place in the points table.

Delhi entered with 3 changes

After losing the toss, Delhi captain Axar Patel said, ‘We have made three changes in the team, two fast bowlers Dushmantha Chameera and Kyle Jamieson, and an opener Sahil Parakh, who is debuting today. These changes have been made because Lungi had a concussion in the last match, so we had to add another fast bowler. We gave a lot of opportunities to Mukesh Kumar, he did well in some matches but sometimes it is necessary to give a break.

Who is Sahil Parakh?

Sahil Parakh is an 18-year-old rising Indian cricketer, born on 7 June 2007 in Nashik, Maharashtra. He is a left-handed opening batsman and can also bowl leg-break when needed. Sahil was bought by DC for Rs 30 lakh in the IPL auction. He has played for Maharashtra team in domestic cricket and has also been a part of Eagle Nashik Titans in Maharashtra Premier League.

Talking about domestic cricket, Sahil Parakh has played 2 matches for Maharashtra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, in which he has scored 24 runs. In the year 2024, Sahil played a brilliant inning of 109 runs for India Under-19 against Australia, which brought him more into limelight.
