The makers of "Bandar", featuring Bobby Deol, on Monday said the film will release in theatres worldwide on June 5.
The film is directed by Anurag Kashyap and is written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, according to a press release.
"Bandar", which had its world premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2025, is said to be inspired by real-life events and follows the story of a fading star accused of rape, shining a light on systemic injustices, silenced voices in courtrooms, and the harsh realities of a deeply flawed legal framework.
It is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and backed by Zee Studios and also features Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Riddhi Sen, Saba Azad and Nagesh Bhosle in pivotal roles.
Besides "Bandar", Deol will also feature in the action-thriller "Alpha" alongside Sharvari and Alia Bhatt. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail.
He will also appear in the Tamil action-drama film "Jana Nayagan". It is directed by H Vinoth. PTI
