New Delhi . Social media company Meta has introduced a big change for its users. The company has launched a new “Meta Account” system, through which users will now be able to manage Facebook, Instagram and other Meta services from a single account. The move aims to eliminate the hassle of separate logins and passwords for different apps.
All platforms will be accessible through a single login
Under the new system, users will need only a login ID and password. Through this single account, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Meta’s AI based devices like smart glasses can also be accessed. However, WhatsApp has been kept optional from this system for now.
Passkey and biometric login will increase security
Meta has also paid special attention to security. Passkey technology has been included in the new system, through which users will be able to login with fingerprint, face unlock or device PIN instead of password. Along with this, security features like login alert and multi-factor authentication (MFA) have also been provided.

All settings can now be managed from one place
After this update, users will not need to go to different apps and change settings. Be it updating passwords, changing emails, or adjusting security settings—everything is possible from a single dashboard.
Facility for parents also, Family Center dashboard
This new system of Meta will prove useful for parents also. The Family Center feature will allow parents to monitor their children’s Facebook, Instagram and Messenger activities and control their settings from one place.
When will the new system be implemented?
According to the company, this new Meta Account system will be implemented in a phased manner from next year. Although it will take time to reach all users, in time it will integrate the entire ecosystem of Meta.
