Diljit Dosanjh has made history once again.
On April 23, 2026, he kicked off the North America leg of his Aura Tour at BC Place Stadium in Canada to another sold-out crowd. It marked the second time he has sold out the stadium, having done so first during his Dil-Luminati Tour in 2024, which was the largest Punjabi music concert ever held outside India. With the recent sold-out show, Diljit became the first Indian artist to sell out BC Place twice.
The achievement comes on the back of a strong couple of years for Diljit across music, film, and culture. In 2024, his portrayal of slain Punjabi folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali’s Netflix film earned him an International Emmy nomination for Best Actor. In 2025, he walked the Met Gala as the first turbaned Indian to do so and was voted best dressed by Vogue readers.
On the music side, he contributed two tracks to the Bollywood film Dhurandhar, Ez-Ez alongside Hanumankind and Teri Ni Kararan, both of which were well received. His fifteenth studio album, Aura, also released in 2025, blended Punjabi pop with R&B and global production, and included a remix of Senorita featuring Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin.
In 2026, he starred in the Bollywood film Border 2, one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year. And in a fitting full-circle moment, he dropped a brand new EP, The Call Of Panjab, produced by Tru-Skool, on the very same day as the BC Place show, going back to his traditional Punjabi and Bhangra roots.
One of the standout moments of the night came when Diljit brought a young fan up on stage while opening up about his journey, reflecting on the ups and downs since he first started singing in 2002. With the child beside him as he spoke, it was a moment that clearly hit home for the crowd. Fan-captured clips have been going viral on social media since the show.
Later in the evening, he invited a mother from the audience on stage and sought her blessings, another moment that drew a big reaction from the crowd.
BC Place management and the CEO formally congratulated him on the achievement.
The Aura Tour continues across Canada with upcoming stops in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Toronto, before heading to major U.S. venues.
