The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that NEET UG 2026 admit cards will now be released at 10 AM on April 27 instead of April 26.
The change comes just days before the May 3 examination, affecting thousands of medical aspirants who had expected their hall tickets today.
NTA confirmed the revised timeline through its official channels, assuring that the exam schedule and format remain unchanged. The NEET UG 2026 exam will take place on May 3 from 2 PM to 5 PM in a single offline shift. Reporting times, centres, and candidate instructions will follow the original plan.
Officials said most candidates have been allotted their preferred city, ensuring minimal disruption. The agency urged students to use the additional day for focused revision and mental preparation.
NTA also issued a wellness advisory, encouraging aspirants to stay calm, hydrated, and well-rested. It recommended using the last Sunday before the exam for a full-length mock test or final review. Candidates must carry a printed admit card and a valid photo ID to the exam centre.
If admit cards are released on April 27 as scheduled, students will have nearly a week to verify details and plan logistics. The NTA delay aims to maintain smooth exam-day operations and reduce last-minute stress among candidates.
