Giving top priority to the safety, respect and empowerment of women and girls, Sonbhadra Police is conducting a comprehensive and effective public awareness campaign in the district under the second phase of Mission Shakti 5.0.

Under the able guidance of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma, various programs are being organized in all the police station areas of the district to make all sections of the society aware. Under the campaign, major social issues to women and children – like sex ratio, gender equality, child marriage, sexual exploitation,

The public was made aware by throwing special light on violence against women and children, literacy and health. In this sequence, Mission Shakti teams of all the police stations of the district organized dialogue programs in schools, colleges, coaching institutes, markets and gram sabhas and provided detailed information to women and girls about good touch-bad touch, self-defense measures, legal rights to harassment of women, and various helpline services.

Also, keeping in view the increasing threat of cyber crimes, special awareness was created regarding online fraud, fake calls/links, misuse of social media, banking fraud and non-sharing of OTP.
