New Delhi . Hindi cinema’s veteran actor (Rishi Kapoor) played many memorable characters in his career, but an incident to the film (Rafoo Chakkar) still surprises people. In this film, he had to wear the getup of a girl as per the story, and during this, a funny incident happened with him which would make anyone smile.
Had to go to gents washroom in female outfit
Actually, during the shooting of the film Rafoo Chakkar, Rishi Kapoor was completely in the look of a girl. Meanwhile he needed to go to the washroom. Now the problem was that they could not go to the ladies washroom, so they were forced to go to the gents washroom.
But as soon as they reached inside, the people present there mistook her for the real girl. The situation became such that the people present in the washroom themselves became uncomfortable with shame and could not understand what was happening.
Foreign people reached the set searching for them.
This funny incident was mentioned by Rishi Kapoor himself in his book. He told that some foreigners present in the washroom mistook him for a “girl” and went out to search for him.

When they reached there, they came to know the truth that the person they were looking for was none other than the film’s star Rishi Kapoor. Everyone was surprised to hear this.
Journey from child artist to becoming a superstar
Rishi Kapoor started his film career as a child artist with Mera Naam Joker, which was directed by his father Raj Kapoor. He also received the National Award for this film. After this he debuted as a lead actor with Bobby, in which Dimple Kapadia was seen with him. This film was a superhit and Rishi Kapoor became a star overnight.
From romantic heroes to strong characters
In his career, he worked in many hit films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Karz, Chandni, Damini and Kapoor & Sons.
It was during the films that he fell in love with his co-star Neetu Kapoor and both of them got married.
Cancer battle and last journey
In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer, after which he underwent treatment in New York. He died in 2020 after fighting the disease for nearly two years. His last film was Sharmaji Namkeen, which was well received by the audience.
