According to sources, the accused entered the society around 6:30 am on Wednesday, where some local drivers and a shopkeeper stopped him. When asked, he allegedly made the excuse of looking for work and misled people. Subsequently, as per police investigation, he entered the house with the help of extra key at around 6:39 am. The police is now busy verifying this entire timeline through technical and forensic methods.

According to police sources, accused Rahul Meena is accused of entering the house as per a pre-existing plan. It is reported that after entering the house, he went straight to the study room, where the victim was studying at that time. The accused tried to control the victim, during which a struggle occurred. During this time, he is also accused of attacking her with some heavy object kept nearby, due to which the victim became unconscious. Police say that after this the accused allegedly committed a serious crime. It has also come to light that he had already come to the house with the intention of robbing and he was aware that the locker of the house opens through a thumb impression system.

Attempt to open locker using fingerprints of dead body

According to police sources, not only are there allegations of murder and other serious crimes in the incident, but the intention of robbery is also said to be an important reason. According to the claims to the investigation, after the incident, accused Rahul Meena dragged the victim from the study room to the room below, where the locker of the house was kept. Police say that the accused first tried to open the locker through fingerprint and biometric system, but the process was not successful after the alleged death of the victim. After this, according to the investigation, the accused broke the locker with the help of a tool like a screwdriver and fled with around Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and jewelery kept in it.

According to police sources, accused Rahul Meena is accused of having blood splattered on his clothes and shoes during the incident. The investigation has claimed that to avoid being caught, he wore clothes belonging to the deceased’s brother kept in the house and changed his shoes. According to sources, after this he tried to come out of the house wearing slippers. Police say that this entire activity has been recorded in the CCTV cameras installed in the society. According to investigation, the accused was seen coming out of the house around 7:20 am, after which he fled from the spot.

Accused Rahul Meena was addicted to online gambling and gaming from an early age. Sources associated with the investigation claim that he allegedly tried to earn money by playing games like “3 Patti” online. Meanwhile, according to police sources, the behavior and social relations of the accused have also been suspicious. It has also been claimed in the investigation that he has been involved in inappropriate activities in matters to women and the police is investigating various aspects regarding this pattern. Apart from this, according to police sources, allegations have also surfaced against the accused in a separate incident in Alwar on April 21, which includes serious charges like alleged sexual assault and threatening of a woman. However, the police is investigating this entire matter independently.

This is how the murderer was caught

Accused Rahul Meena had fled after the incident with around Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and jewellery. After this, Delhi Police formed several special teams and started a thorough investigation of the CCTV footage and digital records of the area. Investigation revealed that the accused did not have his own mobile phone. According to the police, he had stolen a mobile phone during an earlier incident in Alwar, Rajasthan and was using the same device to continuously change his location and try to escape from the police. Additionally, the hotel’s WiFi network and Instagram chats have also emerged as important digital clues in the investigation. With the help of these technical evidences, the police tracked the activities and movements of the accused.

According to police sources, the accused was hiding in a hotel in Dwarka area of ​​Delhi after the incident, where he was accessing the internet using the hotel’s WiFi network. During this time, he was in constant touch with a relative living in Gurugram through Instagram Messenger. In the investigation, the police traced the location of the accused with the help of Internet Protocol Detail Record (IPDR) and digital surveillance. Along with this, CCTV footage and technical analysis also played an important role in confirming his presence. The police also gathered important information by interrogating the relatives of the accused, which gave direction to the investigation. On the basis of all these digital and physical clues, the police team reached the accused and arrested him from the hotel in Dwarka.
