Washington: The ongoing tension between America and Iran has now reached such a point from where the path of return seems difficult. US President Donald Trump has made it clear that there is now little scope for extending the ongoing two-week ceasefire with Iran. This attitude of Trump has worried the whole world, because this deadline is ending on Wednesday.
Guard on Hormuz and condition of agreement
Making clear his strategy, Trump said that the ‘Strait of Hormuz’ will remain completely closed until a concrete agreement is finalized. This area is extremely important for the global oil supply, and keeping it closed would mean a direct impact on the entire world economy. Trump’s message is clear—either there will be a compromise, or the road will remain closed.
JD Vance’s visit to Pakistan and new round of talks
Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are also continuing. In an interview on Monday, Trump informed that Vice President JD Vance is leaving for Pakistan. It is expected that the round of talks will start again in Pakistan from Tuesday. However, Trump also made it clear that he is in no hurry to make a bad deal. “We have enough time and I am not going to sign any useless deal,” he said confidently.
Will the war start again from Wednesday?
When Trump was asked whether shelling would resume after the ceasefire ended on Wednesday, he replied very bluntly. Trump said that there is very little possibility of the ceasefire being extended and if no result is achieved within the stipulated time frame, then there is a strong possibility that military conflict or fighting between the two countries may resume.
