Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are plain lovely in the trailer of Practical Magic 2.
Warner Bros. published the first trailer for its upcoming sequel to Practical Magic which was originally released in 1998 on Monday April 20.
Bullock, 61, and Kidman, 58, reprise their roles as sisters (and witches) Sally and Gillian Owens in the new movie. Practical Magic 2 shows how their peaceful existence gets disrupted when a stranger from their small New England town brings them his new quest.
For the next sequel Warner Bros. didn’t release the story the logline simply reads, “The magic returns.”
Kidman first announced that Practical Magic would receive a sequel in a 2024 interview in which she said she and Bullock “found a way in” to return to the world of the original movie.
The filmmaking team behind the sequel explained their motivation for creating the next installment because they wanted to present the Owens’ story to new audiences and their existing fans who have supported them since their first appearance.
This past April 14 Bullock and Kidman presented a preview of the movie at CinemaCon in Las Vegas where they were reported to have said gleefully, “The witches are back!”
