A dispute over parking turned into a violent clash in East Delhi’s Preet Vihar area in the early hours of Monday. According to the police, the situation worsened late in the night when the dispute turned violent. At around 2:22 pm and 2:26 am, two separate calls of firing and fight were received at PCR, after which the police team immediately reached the spot. According to preliminary information, a minor dispute over parking quickly turned into violence, creating an atmosphere of chaos in the area.
Police investigation has revealed that Pankaj Nayyar (34) and his brother Paras (43) had a dispute with Gaurav Sharma over parking in A-144, Preet Vihar. During the fight, Gaurav Sharma fired a bullet, which hit Pankaj Nayyar in the chest. Immediately after the incident, injured Pankaj was taken to a nearby hospital Malik Radix Health Care Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have registered the case and started investigation and the accused is being searched. There is an atmosphere of tension in the area after the incident, while the police is investigating the entire incident from every aspect.
Taking strict action in the matter, the police have registered a case under murder, assault and Arms Act at Preet Vihar police station. Police teams have been active since the incident and continuous raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. Also, efforts are being made to identify and track the location of the accused on the basis of CCTV footage installed in the area and other evidence.
