Effect of heat: rise in temperature from mountains to plains
As the month of April is progressing, the heat has started showing its anger. There was some relief in the weather in the country till April 15, but as soon as the effects of western disturbance ended, the temperature started increasing rapidly.
The maximum temperature in various states has reached between 40 to 44 degrees Celsius, while in Banda, Uttar Pradesh it has reached 45.4 degrees Celsius. There is no possibility of respite from the heat in many parts of the country, as there is a possibility of heat wave in the coming days. However, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in the next two days in 12 states from Jammu and Kashmir to the eastern Himalayan region of Arunachal Pradesh.
IMD’s prediction
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature remained between 40-44 degrees Celsius in most parts of Vidarbha. The situation is similar in some areas of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh. Maximum temperatures in other parts of the country range between 36-40 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature recorded in Banda was 44.6 degrees Celsius. Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over the east coast of India this week.
There is every possibility of heat wave continuing till April 21 in various areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Eastern and Western Rajasthan, Odisha, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Vidarbha.

The rain in Delhi on Friday controlled the temperature for some time, but on Saturday again the strong sunlight made it feel hot. During this period, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.5 degrees and the minimum temperature was 19.8 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a continuous increase in temperature between April 19 and 24. During this period, the maximum temperature can be between 38 to 42 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can be between 20 to 24 degrees Celsius. The sky is likely to be partly cloudy in the initial days, while the wind will blow mainly from the north-west direction at light to moderate speed.
