Sandra Bullock has urged the entertainment sector to welcome artificial intelligence, encouraging creatives to adapt to its increasing presence while remaining aware of its potential dangers.
During a recent event, the Oscar-winning actress discussed the emergence of AI-generated fan content, particularly trailers for the anticipated Practical Magic 2.

With a touch of humor, Bullock remarked, “There could be worse things with my image. Sorry,” while recognizing the technology's inevitability. She stated, “It’s here. We must observe it, understand it, and embrace it creatively, making it our ally.”
However, she also stressed the importance of caution, warning against potential misuse.
Bullock expressed, “We need to be extremely vigilant because some may exploit it for harmful purposes. Yet, I believe there is a beneficial role for it.”
The actress is preparing to team up again with Nicole Kidman for Practical Magic 2, a sequel to their beloved 1998 romantic fantasy film.
The project has recently gained attention following the release of its trailer at CinemaCon. Industry experts are sharing mixed feelings about AI-generated fan videos. Pam Abdy, co-chair and CEO of Warner Bros Motion Pictures, acknowledged the dual nature of excitement and concern surrounding these creations.
She commented, “I know it’s not perfect, but it’s thrilling. It indicates a desire for engagement with the film.”
In her latest Instagram update, Reese Witherspoon shared a personal story from a recent gathering with her book club, pointing out a widening gap in AI comprehension.
She recounted asking the group of ten, ‘How many of you use AI?’ Only three raised their hands. When she inquired how many felt proficient in its use, just one person responded positively.
Witherspoon reflected, “If only three out of ten women are utilizing AI, it suggests that 70% of the group is falling behind. My experience with technology shows that without early understanding, it quickly becomes overwhelming. Continuous learning is essential to keep pace.”
Highlighting the urgency, she remarked, “Let’s face it, our children are using this technology daily.” She urged her followers to “learn the basics together” to enhance their daily lives, concluding with, “It’s time. It’s time, people.” The conversation surrounding AI's impact on Hollywood is intensifying. Reports indicate that the industry organization SAG-AFTRA has supported the AI policy framework proposed by Donald Trump’s administration, which includes legislative measures for parental controls, intellectual property rights, First Amendment protections, workforce development, energy independence for data centers, and reduced regulatory hurdles for AI innovation.
