In Ratlam, a wedding celebration took a dark turn when serious allegations of rape and violations under the POCSO Act emerged against the groom. The shocking revelation that the minor victim was pregnant sent shockwaves through the community.

The incident unfolded during a wedding ceremony in Madhya Pradesh, where the groom, identified as Abhishek Sen, faced accusations from a 15-year-old girl from Ujjain. She alleged that he had coerced her into sexual acts through threats. The situation escalated dramatically when it was discovered on the wedding day that the victim was pregnant.

According to police reports, the assault occurred on January 5, when Abhishek allegedly entered the victim's home and assaulted her. He threatened her with death if she disclosed the incident. Following the announcement of his engagement, the victim experienced severe emotional distress, leading her to attempt suicide by consuming acid on April 6.

Upon her hospitalization, doctors confirmed her pregnancy, prompting the victim to disclose the full story to her family. With the assistance of local authorities, the wedding was halted. Charges under the POCSO Act and for rape were filed against Abhishek, who managed to flee before the police could apprehend him.

Abhishek, a resident of the Teacher Colony in Badnagar, was set to marry a girl from Ratlam. Preparations had been underway for two days, and he had already departed for the wedding on horseback. However, before reaching Ratlam, police informed the bride's family about the rape allegations, leading to chaos and ultimately the cancellation of the wedding.

In her statement to the police, the victim recounted how Abhishek had intimidated her into silence for three months. The situation became unbearable when she learned of his impending marriage to another girl, prompting her suicide attempt. The police acted swiftly upon receiving her complaint, emphasizing the seriousness of the case, especially since both the victim and the accused lived in the same neighborhood. Authorities are actively pursuing Abhishek for arrest.
