AIIMS Recruitment 2026: A golden opportunity has emerged for professionals in the medical field who aspire to work at the country's most prestigious hospital and college—the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS-Deoghar) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of Senior Residents (Non-Academic) across 142 various positions.

The 142 vacancies announced by AIIMS-Deoghar include: 26 positions in Anesthesiology and Critical Care; 2 positions each in Anatomy, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Community and Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Surgery, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pharmacology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiotherapy, and Urology; 3 positions each in Burns and Plastic Surgery, Forensic Medicine, Neonatology, Pediatric Surgery, and Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank; 1 position each in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Microbiology, Neurosurgery, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology/Lab Medicine, and Surgical Oncology; 5 positions in Pulmonary Medicine; 6 in Radio-diagnosis; 8 positions each in Biochemistry and Pediatrics; 10 in Obstetrics and Gynecology; 14 in General Medicine; and 15 in General Surgery.

The application process for the positions announced by AIIMS has commenced, accepting submissions both offline and via email; the deadline for applying has been set for April 25. Consequently, eligible and interested candidates intending to fill out the application form may submit their registration forms within the stipulated timeframe. Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, candidates are required to fulfill other prescribed eligibility criteria, skills, and experience requirements.

The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 45 years, calculated as of the date of the interview. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit in accordance with applicable rules.

Eligible candidates will be selected based on a written examination/interview followed by document verification. Upon selection, the candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹67,700, along with other benefits and allowances.

While filling out the application form, candidates are required to pay a prescribed application fee based on their category: ₹3,000 for Unreserved (UR) candidates, and ₹1,000 for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and women candidates are exempted from paying the registration fee.

To apply, candidates must first visit the official website of AIIMS-Deoghar. On the homepage, click on the official notification link corresponding to the specific position. Subsequently, download the application form provided within the notification and take a printout of it. Fill in all the details requested in the form and attach all the required documents. Place the completed application form in an envelope and dispatch it via post to the following address—'Registrar Office, 4th Floor, AIIMS, Deipur (Academic Block), Deoghar - 814152 (Jharkhand)'—so that it reaches on or before the specified deadline. Finally, retain a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

Furthermore, after submitting the hard copy of the application form, candidates are required to send a soft copy of the application along with all necessary documents (compiled into a single file) to the official email ID specified in the notification.
