The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) could release the Class 10 and 12 results at any moment. This year, approximately 5.5 million students appeared for the examinations. Now, they—along with their families—are eagerly awaiting the release of the results. As is the tradition every year, the High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) results are likely to be released simultaneously this time as well. The results will be made available on the official website, upmsp.edu.in.
Last year, the results were declared in April, and it is expected that the results will be released during this month once again. As soon as the Board officially releases the results, the links on the official websites will be activated. Students will be able to check their results from the comfort of their homes using their mobile phones or computers.

The 'Step Marking System' is a Key Highlight This Year
This year, the UP Board has introduced a new and student-friendly initiative. The Board has implemented a 'Step Marking System' for the evaluation of answer sheets. This means that even if a student's final answer turns out to be incorrect, they will not lose full marks for the entire problem. The teachers evaluating the answer sheets will assess the correct steps taken by the student to solve the problem. Marks will be awarded for every correct step performed.
This new system will benefit students who approach a problem in the right direction but make an error in the final calculation or answer. Consequently, there is a higher probability that students will achieve better scores compared to previous years.
No Need to Panic Even if Scores Are Low
The UP Board has also provided students with an opportunity to improve their scores. If any student has doubts regarding their marks, they can apply for scrutiny (re-evaluation). Additionally, there is the option of a compartment examination, through which students can improve their scores by retaking the exam in one or two subjects.
How to Check the Result?
First, visit the websites upresults.nic.in or upmsp.edu.in.
On the homepage, click on the ‘UP Board 10th Result 2026’ or ‘UP Board 12th Result 2026’ link.
Enter your Roll Number and School Code (as provided on your admit card).
Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Your result will appear on the screen. Download it and take a printout as well.
Keep These Points in Mind While Checking the Result
As soon as the results are released, the website experiences heavy traffic. Millions of students attempt to check their results simultaneously, which may cause the site to slow down. In such a situation, there is no need to panic. Wait for a short while and try again.
Students are advised to keep their Roll Numbers handy in advance to avoid facing any difficulties while checking their results. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and avoid entering incorrect information in haste.
