Kohli hit 6 fours and one six in his innings. With this he broke the record of KL Rahul. Kohli has now become the opening batsman to hit the most sixes in the history of IPL.
Kohli becomes the opener who hits most sixes in IPL
Before this match, KL Rahul and Kohli were at par in terms of hitting the most number of sixes as openers. But he left Rahul behind as soon as he hit a six against Lucknow. Kohli now has 185 sixes in his name as an opener. Rahul is now at second place with 184 sixes.
Captured the Orange Cap with an inning of 49 runs
Due to his inning of 49 runs, Kohli has currently reached the top in terms of scoring the most runs. With this, the orange cap has been decorated on Kohli’s head. Kohli has so far scored 228 runs in 5 matches at an average of 57.
RCB reached the top of the points table
RCB registered its fourth win of the season by defeating Lucknow by 5 wickets. Batting first, Lucknow scored only 146 runs in 20 overs. In reply, RCB team achieved the target in just 15.1 overs thanks to Kohli’s inning of 49 runs. With this victory, RCB reached the top of the points table with 8 points.
