Star Royal Challengers Bengaluru cricketer Krunal Pandya impressed everyone with his variations in Match 23 of the Indian Premier League 2026 against the Lucknow Super Giants. With his second wicket of the night at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, April 15, Krunal completed the milestone of 100 wickets in his IPL career.
Krunal, who bowls left-arm spin, completed the historic milestone after taking his second wicket of the night that sent Abdul Samad packing for a three-ball duck in Bengaluru, as the batter edged the ball in the hands of RCB skipper Rajat Patidar, who completed a simple catch in the end. In his previous over, Krunal had also accounted for the dismissal of well-set Mitchell Marsh, handing RCB their third breakthrough of the night.
For the unversed, Krunal started his IPL career way back in 2016 with the Mumbai Indians and showed early signs of his all-round skills in the maiden season itself. After spending a good six seasons with Mumbai, the Ahmedabad-born player found his new home in LSG. He was also the interim captain of the franchise in the absence of the then captain KL Rahul (he is now with Delhi Capitals) in the 2023 season.
RCB is the third and the latest franchise that Krunal is currently representing in the marquee T20 tournament. He joined the side in 2025 and was massively impressive in his debut season with the Bengaluru-based side. In his first-ever match in RCB kits, Krunal was the Player of the Match and later that season, he was the Player of the Match in the finale as well, helping RCB lift their maiden IPL trophy.
