New Bike: German two-wheeler manufacturer BMW Motorrad has confirmed that its new adventure bike BMW F 450 GS will be launched in India on April 23. This bike will be introduced as a new entry-level model in the company’s GS lineup. The special thing is that this motorcycle is being manufactured at the Hosur plant of TVS Motor Company, where its production started in the end of 2025.

Design and features
The F 450 GS features the signature adventure styling of the GS series. It features design elements inspired by the larger GS models. X-shaped LED daytime running lights are provided at the front, which gives a glimpse of the lighting design of the BMW R 1300 GS. The bike also has a 6.5-inch TFT display, which provides essential information to the rider.

Wheels and Variants
This motorcycle has 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, which are fitted with dual-purpose tyres. The company will offer it in base, exclusive, sport and off-road focused GS Trophy variants. Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) system will be available as standard in GS Trophy variant.

Engine and Performance
The F 450 GS has a 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which generates 47 bhp power and 43 Nm torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, with a slipper clutch and bi-directional quickshifter as standard. According to the company, its top speed is 165 km/h and it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.

mileage and price
The bike has a fuel tank of 14 liters and it claims to give a mileage of more than 26 km/litre. After launch, it will come as a premium option in the sub-500cc adventure segment, with an estimated price of more than Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
