Islamabad Talks is in the headlines. As part of an effort to establish a ceasefire between Iran and the US, Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held separate meetings with US Vice President JD Vance and Iranian Speaker MB Ghalibaf.

Pakistani PM office gave this information. Issuing a statement, it was said that Vice President Vance was assisted by Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

At the same time, along with Prime Minister Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Home Minister Sen. Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi was present.

The statement claimed that the approach of both the delegations was very positive and constructive. Sharif believes that these talks will prove to be an important step towards ensuring peace in this area.

JD Vance reached Pakistan on Saturday itself. He is leading the American delegation, while Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has taken charge.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry released some pictures, in which Speaker MB Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the entire delegation are meeting with the Pakistani delegation.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam has also tried to portray America-Israel as big culprits while expressing his gratitude to Islamabad through X-Post. He has written that efforts are being made to stop a war which is not only a big crime against the Iranian country and civilization, but has also endangered the security of the region and the world. It remains to be seen whether America respects the mediation efforts or…?!

At the same time, the White House has denied the reports claiming that America is ready to release Iran’s seized property. Some reports had claimed that America was going to release Iran’s assets deposited in banks of Qatar and other countries.
