New Delhi: Sanju Samson and Jamie Overton played starring roles as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 23 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai to snap their three-match losing streak and bag their first win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. CSK ended a six-match losing streak at the Chepauk, stretching back to last season.
Samson slammed a dazzling knock of unbeaten 115 to notch up his 4th IPL ton and first for CSK to power the hosts to a strong total of 212/2 in 20 overs after they were asked to bat first in the game. English all-rounder Overturn turned out to be the pick of the bowlers for CSK as he scalped a four-wicket haul to help the hosts skittle out DC for 189 runs and secure a comfortable victory.
