Lucknow, Read: Lucknow District Chess Age Group Championship held at Colonel SN Mishra OBE Memorial School concluded on Friday. Under-9 and Under-17 category matches were played in the competition, in which the young players performed brilliantly. In the Under-9 boys category, Agarth Mishra performed brilliantly and secured the first position with four points.
Whereas, Prabir Singh was the runner-up with three points. In the Under-9 girls category, Savya stood first with 2.5 points, while Nirvana Verma stood second with two points. In the Under-17 boys category, Gauransh Jaiswal won the title with three points. Lakshya Nigam was the runner up with 2.5 points. In the Under-17 girls category, Saanvi Aggarwal stood first with three points, while Shivangi stood second with two points. At the closing ceremony of the competition, school director Preeti Shukla encouraged the winning players by rewarding them.
