AIIMS Vacancy 2026: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna, has announced recruitment for 75 Senior Resident positions. This recruitment drive is for the year 2026, and eligible candidates may participate directly in the interview process.

**Who Can Apply?**
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in the relevant medical discipline. This includes degrees such as MD, MS, DNB, DM, or M.Ch, provided they are recognized by the MCI/NMC/NBE.

A special exemption has been granted for positions in Clinical Hematology; candidates holding an MD degree in General Medicine or Pediatrics are also eligible to apply for these specific posts.

**Age Limit Criteria**
For this recruitment, the maximum age limit for candidates is 45 years as of the date of the interview. Consequently, candidates exceeding the age of 45 are ineligible to apply. However, in accordance with government regulations, certain categories have been granted age relaxations. SC/ST candidates will receive a relaxation of 5 years, OBC candidates 3 years, and PwBD candidates 10 years.

**Application Fee**
The application fee for this recruitment has been structured according to different categories. Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay a fee of ₹1,500, while candidates from the SC, ST, and EWS categories must pay ₹1,200. Conversely, Ex-Servicemen, female candidates, and candidates with disabilities (PwD) are completely exempted from the application fee; that is, they are not required to pay any fee.

**Selection Process**
Selection for this recruitment will be based solely on a walk-in interview.
There will be no written examination of any kind; candidates will be called directly for the interview.

All original documents of the candidates will be verified on the day of the interview. Eligibility and experience will also be calculated as of that same day.
In the event of a tie in scores between two candidates, preference will be given to the older candidate. The final result will be published on the official website of AIIMS Patna, and no individual notifications will be sent.
