UPSSSC Assembly Guard and Fireman 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued a notification for the Main Examination regarding the recruitment of *Vidhan Bhawan Rakshak* (Assembly Guard) and *Vidhan Bhawan Agnik/Agnirakshak* (Fireman/Fire Guard). A notice has been released for the recruitment of a total of 170 vacancies. The registration process is scheduled to commence in June 2026.

**Applications Open from June 9**
The registration process will begin on June 9, 2026, and conclude on June 29, 2026. Candidates will have until July 6, 2026, to adjust their fees and make amendments to their applications. A total of 170 vacancies are to be filled under the Secretariat Administration Department, comprising 120 vacancies for *Vidhan Bhawan Rakshak* and 50 vacancies for *Agnik/Agnirakshak*.

**Eligibility Criteria**
**PET Score:** Only those candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and have been issued a scorecard by the Commission are eligible to apply for the Main Examination.

**Educational Qualification:** It is mandatory for the candidate to have passed the Intermediate (12th Grade) examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it by the government.

**Age Limit:** As of July 1, 2026, the candidate's minimum age must be 18 years, and the maximum age must be 40 years. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and other categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit as per the applicable rules.

**Physical Standards**
As this is a physically demanding job, the following standards are mandatory:

**Male Candidates:**

**Height:** 168 cm (for General/OBC/SC) and 160 cm (for ST).
**Chest:** 84 cm (unexpanded) and 82 cm for ST candidates (a minimum expansion of 5 cm is mandatory).

**Female Candidates:**

**Height:** 152 cm (for General/OBC/SC) and 147 cm (for ST).
**Weight:** Between 45 and 58 kilograms.

**Selection Process**
Selection for the Main Examination will be based on the scores obtained in PET-2025. Subsequently, the Main Examination will be conducted. The written examination will serve as the primary basis for selection. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores in the written examination, after which they will be required to appear for the Physical Standards Test and the Physical Efficiency Test, both of which will be of a qualifying nature only.

**Application Fee**
For candidates across all categories, only an online processing fee will be charged for the online application, as follows:

**Unreserved/OBC/SC/ST:** ₹25

Candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination will be required to pay the fee for the Main Examination separately.

**How to Apply?**
Candidates can apply online by visiting the Commission's website: upsssc.gov.in.
To apply, candidates must log in using their PET-2025 Registration Number.
After verifying their personal details, photograph, and signature (which will be automatically displayed from their PET-2025 data), candidates must fill in the remaining details.
Finally, candidates must pay the applicable fee, submit the application form, and take a printout of the submitted form for future reference.
