T Natarajan, a bowler for the Delhi Capitals (DC), expressed the team's emotional state following their narrow defeat to the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday. The Capitals were chasing a challenging target of 211 runs and found themselves just two runs shy of victory with only two balls remaining. Veteran South African player David Miller was at the crease but opted not to take a single on the second-to-last ball, choosing to face the final delivery himself. Unfortunately, he missed it, leading to Kuldeep Yadav being run out by wicketkeeper Jos Buttler while attempting a quick single.

Team Spirit Remains Strong

In a pre-match press conference ahead of their game against CSK, T Natarajan spoke about the team's morale after the recent loss. He acknowledged the emotional impact but emphasized that the team remains united and optimistic. "We are a close-knit group, almost like family. While we feel the sting of a close defeat, we are committed to supporting one another and maintaining a positive outlook. We know we have the talent to recover and perform well as the tournament continues," he stated.

Praise for the Bowling Lineup

T Natarajan also commended the strength of the Delhi Capitals' bowling unit, noting its depth in both spin and pace. He highlighted the contributions of players like Mukesh Kumar, stating, "Our bowling attack has been performing exceptionally well. We have world-class spinners and quality pacers in our squad. Everyone, including Mukesh Kumar and our spinners, is making valuable contributions. Overall, we possess a very robust bowling unit."

Upcoming Challenges

As the Delhi Capitals aim to bounce back from their recent one-wicket loss, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are equally eager to break their three-match losing streak and secure their first victory of the IPL 2026 season.
