A horrifying case from Jehanabad in Bihar has been solved, where a five-year-old student was brutally raped and murdered inside a school hostel. The police revelation has shocked not only the victim's family but also the wider community.

Superintendent of Police Aparajit Lohan confirmed that the accused is Mukesh Kumar alias Sudama, a guard working in the hostel canteen. He has been arrested. The postmortem report revealed that the child was first sexually assaulted and then killed brutally to destroy evidence. Police have also recovered the sharp blade used in the crime.

Mental distress and repeated taunts

During the investigation, it emerged that the accused, a resident of Bemabhai village under Pali police station limits, was living under severe mental stress. His wife had left him earlier, and hostel children allegedly mocked him by calling him "impotent," which added to his frustration.

Police also found that he had prior disputes with the hostel operator, Tarun Kumar, and had even threatened to defame the hostel and force its closure. On the night of the incident, he was reportedly heavily intoxicated.

Crime committed inside his room

According to police, the incident took place on Sunday night when children were watching television in the hostel. The accused allegedly lured the child into his room, where he sexually assaulted him.

When the child began crying in pain, the accused, fearing exposure, slit his throat with a sharp weapon. He then dumped the body near the staircase.

Hostel operator also arrested

In this case, police have arrested not only the accused guard but also the hostel operator, Tarun Kumar alias Gandhi. Investigations revealed serious lapses in hostel security arrangements.

Officials said the operator attempted to mislead investigators and conceal facts after the incident instead of cooperating fully. Due to his negligence and suspicious conduct, he has also been named as an accused.
