US-Iran Peace Talks Halted: A major confusion and controversy has emerged ahead of the proposed peace talks between America and Iran in Islamabad on Friday. While earlier some international reports had claimed that the Iranian delegation had reached Islamabad for talks, Iran has completely rejected these claims.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagr Ghalibaf have reached Pakistan for talks. But Iran’s government agencies termed these reports as “completely false” and clarified that both the leaders are still present in Tehran and are busy with their official work.

Refuse any talks with America

According to Iran’s government media agency Tasnim News, there is no question of any Iranian team going to Pakistan or participating in the talks. Iran alleged that such misinformation was being spread deliberately to create confusion and weaken its diplomatic position.

At the same time, Iran has also made it clear that at present any kind of talks with America are not possible. Iran says no talks will proceed until the US implements a complete ceasefire in Lebanon and Israel’s military actions stop. Iranian officials reiterated that they only want permanent and real solutions, not temporary agreements.

Ghalibaf warned America

Meanwhile, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf has warned in strong words that America and Israel have very limited time left and if the military action is not stopped, the situation could become more serious. Iran’s Fars News Agency has also clarified that there are no plans for talks under the current circumstances.

Although on one hand Iran has refused talks, on the other hand it has also appreciated Pakistan’s mediation role. Pakistan is constantly trying to establish itself as a mediator in this entire diplomatic effort, but Iran has made it clear that for any dialogue its conditions must be fulfilled.

Islamabad transformed into a fort

In view of this important possible talks, security arrangements have been tightened in Islamabad. More than 10,000 police and security forces have been deployed. Red zones and high security areas have been completely sealed under the supervision of the army, and movement of common people has been stopped on many main roads.
