Renowned singer Sonu Nigam recently shared a touching memory of his reunion with Arijit Singh, who visited him after a long gap of 15 years. During this heartfelt meeting, Arijit gifted Sonu a plant that now adorns his home mandir. The gathering, filled with musical performances, made the day even more special. Sonu took to social media to express his joy, stating, "#throwback: 13th Jan 2026, my dear Arijit at my place. After nearly 15 years. I am so proud of his progress over the years.. And he knows just how much I cherish him. The plant he gifted now beautifies my mandir."

He further added, "And then my little prodigy Shashwat and Magic also arrived to spread more joy. I might share a clip of Shashwat performing Soona soona on the whistle.. It's the most heartwarming sight.. But.. I'll decide on that later.. Let's see how many people want to see it.."

Arijit Singh's Recent Announcement
In a surprising turn of events, Arijit recently declared his retirement from playback singing through an emotional post. However, he later clarified in February that despite this announcement, his songs continue to be released. He explained, “Even though I have ceased taking new projects, the number of pending songs is significant. I still have many songs to finish. Don’t get caught up in explaining to people, How many times will you? There are numerous unfinished songs, and they will keep coming out until they are completed."

For those unfamiliar, Arijit Singh has become one of the most influential voices in contemporary Hindi cinema over the last decade. He made his Bollywood playback debut with the song Raabta from Agent Vinod in 2012, composed by Pritam. However, it was the hit song Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2, released in 2013, that catapulted him to fame and established him as the go-to voice for romantic tracks in Hindi films.
