Even after the death of Yuvraj Mehta in Noida Sector 150, the authority officials did not learn any lesson, due to which a similar incident has come to light. We are currently present in Sector 94, where a student has died due to drowning.

This is a pit, the basement was dug here, there was a project of Noida Authority to build a Habitat Centre. The tender was given to Uttar Pradesh Construction Corporation in July 2021. The target was to complete the construction work by 2023. The matter got complicated between the institutions, due to which the construction work was stopped. The deposited amount of Rs 26 crore has been confiscated by the authority. The authority was in possession of the land since the dispute started.

No board or warning at the spot

After the death of the engineer, the new CEO of Noida gave many orders and 65 such points were identified in Noida where people’s lives could be in danger. Wherever there were such pits and drains, orders were given to install safety equipment. Despite this, the authority neither put up any signboard nor put up any warning board on the land under its command. Even the boundary is not visible here. People can come here easily.

Large number of people moving near the incident site

There are high-rise societies and two big universities around the spot. IT companies are also here. Many people keep coming and going in this area. In such a situation, if this land is under the authority, then what steps were taken by their officials regarding security is a big question.

No statement has come from Noida Authority. Information about which officers were negligent in this and against which officers action was taken has not yet been revealed by the authority. All the officers of Noida Authority are once again under question. The CM was very angry over the death of the engineer. Noida CEO was removed. SIT was also formed for investigation.
