Business Desk – Gold Silver Price Today: There is a trend of continuous increase in gold prices in the country. On the morning of April 9, the price of 24-carat gold in the capital Delhi reached Rs 153,980 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, this rate is Rs 153,830 per 10 grams.

Just a day ago, a huge jump of ₹ 3,200 or 2.09 percent was seen in gold prices in Delhi’s bullion market, taking the price to ₹ 56,400 per 10 grams. The main reason for this sharp increase in bullion prices is the possibility of a ceasefire between America and Iran. In the international market, the spot price of gold is currently running at $4,803.33 per ounce. At the domestic level, gold and silver prices are influenced by both domestic and global factors.

Gold rates in major cities of the country

  • Gold price in Delhi: In Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 153,980 per 10 grams, while the rate of 22-carat gold is Rs 141,160 per 10 grams.
  • Mumbai and Kolkata: At present, the price of 22-carat gold in Mumbai and Kolkata is Rs 141,010 per 10 grams, while the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 153,830 per 10 grams.
  • Gold price in Chennai: The price of 24-carat gold is Rs 154,920 per 10 grams. The rate of 22-carat gold is Rs 142,010 per 10 grams.
  • Prices in Pune and Bengaluru: In both these cities, the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 153,830 per 10 grams, while the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 141,010 per 10 grams.

An increase in the prices of another precious metal, silver, is also being seen. On the morning of April 9, the price rose to Rs 260,100 per kg. Last day, silver prices rose by Rs 11,000 or about 5 percent in Delhi’s bullion market.

It reached Rs 251,000 per kg. In the international market, the spot price of silver is $77.33 per ounce. In January this year, the price of silver in the country had crossed the Rs 400,000 mark.
