Therefore, whenever you eat things containing iron, consume citrus fruits or lemon with it. This combination is the most effective way to increase the level of hemoglobin in your body quickly. These 5 combinations will do wonders. Spinach and Lemon: Spinach is a treasure trove of iron, but eating it raw or without Vitamin C does not provide full benefits. Squeeze lemon juice over spinach curry or soup, this will help the body absorb iron immediately. Dates & Roasted Gram: This combination is a powerhouse for increasing hemoglobin. Eating a handful of roasted gram and 2-3 dates every morning not only increases blood but also keeps the energy level high. Pomegranate & Beetroot Salad: Both beetroot and pomegranate are helpful in the formation of red blood cells (RBC). Eating them together in the form of salad provides the body with the necessary folate and iron. Jaggery & Peanuts: This combination, which has been going on since time immemorial, is the best even today. Jaggery is rich in iron and peanuts are a source of protein.
