Reports suggest that she is likely to play legendary screen icon Madhubala in Jasmeet K Reen’s next film, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Well, with Sara being cast as the iconic character, it goes without saying that there’s going to be an additional buzz in the industry.
The report revealed, “Sara will undergo an extensive physical transformation to authentically portray Madhubala’s timeless grace and charm. From costume detailing to dialect training and look tests, the makers are leaving no stone unturned in recreating the era with precision.”
For the unversed, Jasmeet K Reen is best known for her acclaimed work in Darlings. The yet to be titled film promises to be filled with drama while also having emotional elements to it. Major details about the movie are currently being kept under wraps, but the report did reveal that SLB and team are making it out to be a moving tribute to Madhubala’s extraordinary yet heartbreaking life.
In addition, the report also revealed that the team is excited about the story, especially with Sara leading the movie at a rather crucial point in her career. Given the interesting director-producer combo, one can expect the movie to not just be big in scale, but also rich in story.
Madhubala was one of India’s biggest and highest-paid actors in the 1950s, and has worked in over 70 films across her career spanning two decades. Her work includes genres such as comedies, historical dramas, and others. Her screen presence continues to be something to admire about her.
