Quiz clothes shops at risk of closing before end of April - full list of 40 stores

All 40 Quiz stores could close by the end of April following the chain's collapse into administration, it has been revealed. If no rescue deal can be reached, the brand's administrator Interpath will conduct a full review into the viability of all shops by the end of the month, according to Retail Week, which could lead to closures. It is understood Quiz will continue to operate until at least the end of April.

The chain appointed Interpath in February after a challenging period of trade, which resulted in 109 people losing their jobs across Quiz's head office in Glasgow and distribution centre in Bellshill, Lanarkshire. Interpath confirmed prices were slashed further over Easter, with more stock lines added and all items reduced by 40% to 70%.

In February, McAlinden said the retailer intended to keep going for as long as possible. He said: "With Quiz the latest retailer to fall into administration, there's no doubt it's been a tough start to 2026 for the UK high street.

"It's our intention to continue to trade all stores and the concessions in Ireland as a going concern for as long as we can while we assess options for the business."

Interpath said in the 12 months to the collapse, the business had experienced "challenging trading conditions", with lower than expected sales during the crucial Christmas trading period, both online and in-store.

It said Quiz also had to contend with strong economic headwinds including changing consumer habits, cost pressures from business rates and the recent increases to employment costs.

The directors worked to explore options to safeguard the future of Quiz, including efforts to source funding, but without finding a viable solution, they placed Quiz into insolvency.

Following their appointment, all 40 stores and seven concessions continued to trade, but the company's online store closed. Quiz's concessions in New Look and Matalan stores were unaffected.
