Monty Don, the renowned gardener and presenter of BBC's Gardeners' World, lives a tranquil life at his Herefordshire residence, Longmeadow. His days begin with a nutritious breakfast and a stroll outside onto the dew-covered grass, where he performs a daily routine that benefits both mind and body.

Speaking previously to The Times, Monty disclosed that he "always wakes early, with the light", and kickstarts his metabolism with a pint of hot water from the Aga. According to Healthline, consuming plain orhot lemon water can alleviate congestion, aid digestion, reduce stress, and provide warmth. Following half an hour of outdoor yoga, the 70 year old gardening expert enjoys a delightful breakfast featuring fresh rhubarb.

When it comes to meals, breakfast proves the most thrilling for a morning person, as Monty characterised himself.

The Gardener's World host savours a diverse selection of ingredients in the morning, two components that constitute the perfect meal.

Revealing his eating habits in an episode of his BBC One programme, Monty stated: "I think rhubarb just lightly stewed with yoghurt is a breakfast of the Gods."

He serves the sweet and succulent stewed fruit atop a substantial dollop of rich yoghurt, but that's not everything. Monty's breakfast selection wouldn't be finished without further homegrown produce.

Speaking previously to The Times, Monty remarked: "I really enjoy breakfast and often have yoghurt with fruit from the garden and honey from our bees.

"Or I might have eggs from our chickens with homegrown chillies. I have lots of strong tea - I'm perfectly happy with PG Tips."

As an enthusiast of marmalade, the cherished British gardener frequently opts for a slice of toast with the citrus preserve, though he mentioned that he avoids gluten.

Monty's wife, Sarah, is coeliac, so the pair steer clear of flour and select gluten-free alternatives instead. Following breakfast, Monty relishes pottering about in his garden, which extends across several acres.

The Gardeners' World presenter disclosed that like many people, he takes a mid-morning interval at approximately 11am when he savours a cup of coffee - particularly on a filming day for the BBC programme. Monty stated that this is his "single cup of coffee a day", noting that he prefers it "large and strong".
