The political atmosphere has intensified before the West Bengal Assembly elections 2026. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sharpened the election strategy of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by announcing “6 big guarantees” for the state. In a huge public meeting held in Haldia, PM Modi described these promises as a roadmap for the development of Bengal and launched a scathing attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC).
PM Modi made it clear in his address that BJP’s aim is not just to gain power but to ensure transparent governance and rapid development in the state. He alleged that the present government has stopped the progress of Bengal and did not do justice to the future of the youth.
What are the 6 big guarantees of BJP?
The six guarantees announced by PM Modi are being considered as the center of BJP’s election strategy. These include several important issues:
- Prioritizing women’s safety
- strict enforcement of law and order
- Impartial investigation into corruption cases
- Strict action against illegal infiltration
- Implementation of 7th Pay Commission for government employees
- Providing all citizens with the full benefit of their rights
Through these guarantees, BJP has tried to send the message that if its government is formed in the state, the governance will be run completely as per the Constitution and in a transparent manner.
Emphasis on “double engine government”
In his speech, PM Modi also stressed the need for a “double engine government”. He said that only when the Central and State Governments work in one direction, the pace of development accelerates.
He said,
“Bengal will benefit only when the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister work together. Politics of opposition will not benefit the state.”
Sharp attack on TMC government
Taking aim at the Trinamool Congress, the Prime Minister said that the current government of the state has pushed Bengal back on every parameter of development. He alleged that the government has completely failed in providing employment and opportunities to the youth.
PM Modi said,
“TMC can never forget what it has done to the youth of Bengal. It will not be able to answer even in the coming 100 years.”
He further said that while other states of the country are progressing rapidly, Bengal is lagging behind, which is a matter of concern.
Focus on youth and employment
The issue of youth remained prominent in PM Modi’s speech. He said that the youth of the state are not getting the right opportunities, due to which their future is being affected.
BJP has prepared its strategy in this election keeping in mind the youth, women and middle class, in which development and good governance have been made the main agenda.
Important part of election strategy
According to analysts, these 6 guarantees of BJP are not just election promises but part of a broader strategy. Through this the party is trying to strengthen its hold in the state.
It is clear from the crowd gathered in Haldia rally and the aggressive attitude of PM Modi that BJP is in the mood to fight this election with full force.
The political contest in West Bengal elections 2026 is becoming very interesting. PM Modi’s 6 guarantees and sharp attacks on TMC are an indication that the election battle is going to intensify.
Now it will be important to see how voters take these promises and allegations and in which direction the election results go.
