Assembly elections for Kerala (140 seats), Assam (126) and UT of Puducherry (30) will be held on Thursday. Following Phase II of the special intensive revision of electoral rolls, over 5.3 crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots—2.5 cr in Assam, 2.7 cr in Kerala and 9.4 L in Puducherry.
Elections to the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly, along with Phase I polling for 152 seats in West Bengal, will be held on April 23. The remaining 142 seats in West Bengal will go to the polls on April 29. Results will be declared on May 4.
