Plaza and Abbott’s connection goes back a few years through their work. They first appeared together in the film Black Bear, which premiered at Sundance in 2020 and received strong reviews. Later, they shared the stage in the play Danny and the Deep Blue Sea in 2023.

Even though they haven’t spoken publicly about their relationship, they’ve been seen together at a few events. Most recently, they attended Khaite’s Fall/Winter 2026 show on February 14, where they were seated in the front row.
