Surya Pratap, resident of Pannuganj police station area, resident of Lakhanwar Kala police station, Pannuganj district, Sonbhadra, was defrauded of ₹ 20,000 through cyber fraud. By collecting information about the account in which the money was transferred, the entire amount of Rs 20,000 was returned to the applicant.
As part of the campaign being run against cyber crime and criminals by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma and under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Anil Kumar and under the supervision of Area Officer Sadar Raj Sonkar and under the able leadership of Inspector in-charge Pannuganj Kumud Shekhar Singh, the cyber team of police station Pannuganj visited the NCRP portal and the applicant’s fraudulent amount was held in the concerned account and from the NCRP portal. After collecting the necessary evidence to the transaction and emailing/corresponding to the concerned bank, the entire fraud amount of Rs 20,000 was successfully returned to the applicant’s original bank account. The applicant greatly praised the cyber team of Pannuganj police station.
In-charge Inspector Kumud Shekhar Singh of Police Station Pannuganj, Sonbhadra, Inspector Shivshankar Kumar Singh, Cyber Help Desk Police Station Pannuganj, Police Officer Katyayani Singh were included in the team that returned the money.
The district police clarified that do not share your personal and banking information like Aadhar card, PAN card, passport or any acquaintance’s name/mobile number and for banking security, do not share your account number, net banking information, password, OTP with any unknown person. In case of any incident of cyber crime, immediately call the cyber helpline number 1930 or report to the nearest police station or log in to cybercrime.gov.in and lodge a complaint immediately.
