People can't get enough of this "quaint and dreamy" little town that "looks like Greece" - and you won't even need to travel far.

Instead of splashing out a fortune to hop on a flight, there are plenty of beautiful spots here in the UK. Plus, a short getaway could be just what's needed to help you unwind and recharge.

And a travel fan has been gushing about this location in particular. Lana, who explores Britain while living in her van, was captivated after discovering a destination that she's dubbed "the prettiest village in the UK".

So where is it, you may be wondering? Here's everything you need to know.

If you hadn't guessed already, the dreamy staycation spot is Clovelly in Devon.

Lana revealed: "I had a solo trip to this quaint and dreamy little place with the most picturesque scenery!

"It was like stepping back in time with no cars allowed and had a kind of a Greece feel to it with the cobbled streets, bright white houses, hanging flower baskets over looking a turquoise ocean."

Lana was chuffed to see donkeys at the village entrance. Then, she took in the spectacular views and enjoyed a scrumptious afternoon tea.

Visitors must pay to enter the harbour village as it has remained privately owned since Elizabethan times. Entry charges cost approximately £8.75 per person.

Clovelly Court Gardens are an absolute must-see while exploring the renowned village. Visitors will discover immaculately maintained gardens and beautifully restored Victorian greenhouses.

Take in the Kingley Museum or head to Mount Pleasant - the finest picnic spot the village has to offer.

There are also a number of charming pubs, craft workshops to participate in, as well as shops stocking unique and handmade goods. For ale enthusiasts, the Clovelly Brewery sits proudly at the top of this picturesque village.

Lana said: "It's on a steep cliff so be prepared for abit of a walk and don't be like me and wear flip flops - which also broke so that was interesting on steep cobbled paths."

The travel fan recommends visiting on a weekday where possible, which is necessary if you want to sidestep the crowds. And those who have visited agreed that it's well worth the trip.

In response to the viral video, one commenter gushed: "Beautiful Clovelly, worth the £9 per adult. Absolutely stunning the £9 ticket is valid for seven days so definitely worth it. Visited the garden too - bought a little plant.

Another said: "I visited Clovelly some years ago, it's lovely." A third wrote: Been there, it's lovely, honestly."

And a fourth added: "So beautiful, sometimes you would never think it's in the UK."
